Ford GT-40 bleue
Description of the artwork:
Stainless steel base, polished solid aluminum wheels. Body made of painted steel plates.
"The Ford GT40 is a sports car from the manufacturer Ford, which allowed the American firm to win, among other victories, the 24 Hours of Le Mans four times from 1966 to 1969.
The name GT40 comes from the initials "GT" for "Grand Touring" category, supplemented by the number 40 for its height of 40 inches (about 1.02 meters).
The sculpture appears to move, creating a kinetic visual effect for the spectator as they move around it. Evoking mechanical art, an engine, or an automobile grille, the sculpture offers a different perception depending on the observer's vantage point.
I present it here in a blue livery reminiscent of the GULF oil tanker, further emphasizing its connection to the 1960s."
