Yann Argentin – Architect of Urban Light
In the silent bustle of a city, between neon reflections and shifting shadows, Yann Argentin captures the suspended moment—the one where routine turns into poetry. His art, deeply influenced by cinema and photography, sculpts light the way a filmmaker composes a frame. Streets stretch into a haze of mystery, cafés echo with untold stories, and women, omnipresent in his work, become the muses of an unfinished narrative. A gaze lost behind a fogged-up window, a cigarette burning down in quiet anticipation, a silhouette fading into the distance… Each painting is an invitation to step into a scene where the viewer is free to weave their own story. Influenced by Edward Hopper yet distinctly contemporary, Argentin plays with contrasts and perspective to capture the intimacy of the city. His brushstrokes sketch moments of solitude brimming with possibilities, where the spectator, drawn in, finds their own reflection. Listed on Akoun, exhibited in France and Asia, Yann Argentin doesn’t just paint pictures—he crafts fragments of life where everyone can project their emotions, memories, and perhaps even their unfinished dreams.
